Taken in the library, I really liked the contrasts that the shadows created.

I was up extra early on a heavy overcast day, and I took this picture right before the lamps turned off.

The texture that the light enhanced really inspired me in this photo.

Again, I really liked the contrast of colors in this photo.

I like that you got realy close up to your subjects. It really adds a new perspective and makes the photo more dynamic. I especially like how the couch image has many lights and darks creating a lot of contrast for a really interesting photograph. http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGall2.asp?catID=94 Here is a link to some other cool close-up photography images. :)
ReplyDeleteI like these photos because of how you captured patterns of light in a focused way. I especially like the burst of color in your fourth photo.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sam that your compositions are really tight, meaning that you frame a really specific area and there doesn't appear to be extra, unnecessary information in the image. If your image of the red couch had been slightly overexposed you would have lost that texture in the highlight area. It appears that you achieved just the right exposure to have a full range of tones. I also enjoyed the second image down. I've seen a lot of photographs of blinds in the light, but there is something about the way that the second image, with the striped shadows on the chair, creates a set or scene that interests me. It has a quiet, lonely feel to it.
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture with the lamp. The image seems to be in really good focus, and I agree with Robin and Sam on how you focus on one simple object. The simplicity of each photo is another thing I liked, you didn't have any chaotic pieces.
ReplyDeleteyour lighting with the blinds is really crisp and I like the first picture and how close in it is and the second picture how the light and shadow lay across everything like the chair in the photo
