Shooting Exercise #6 - Random Choice

I decided to do another "Considering Color" exercise for our 6th assignment. I really like using my marco setting and finding similar colors together.

  1. The compositions of these photos are extremely interesting. I especially admire how the third photograph down is sort of cut in half. It's very attention grabbing. The framing in your second photograph down is nice because of the focus on detail and texture. I also enjoy the soft, blue tones of the fifth photograph down. I am curious about the framing in the first photo of this collection. There is a lot of open space leading away from the subject. I wonder if the image might portray a stronger tone or message if the subject took up more of a majority of the photograph.

  2. Great use of this week of "free shooting" to revisit a past shooting exercise... Nice use of tightly cropped compositions and shallow depth of field to emphasize texture and create compositions of color fields. There is also a great use of soft, natural lighting throughout this exercise... Well done!

  3. I really enjoy how all of the images have similar neutral tones to them but they're all so unique and different, each of them has a very different texture to it

  4. I agree with what everyone said. The compositions and colors of these photos are very nice. The cropping of the photos have really helped them to look very interesting. In all the photos the colors are very similar but they each look unique and go well together as a whole.
